Our Vision: We want to introduce people to Jesus and the life-changing power of His presence to see them become disciples on display for the glory of God.
Glory Bell Church is led by Pastors Chuck and Ashley Martin. C&A were married in May of 2007, and they are the proud parents of their 6-year-old son, Wrenly Gideon, and their daughter in Heaven, Waverly Grace. Chuck has Oklahoma roots and is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. Ashley is Texas thru and thru, and she attended the University of Houston. Before moving to Houston to marry his bride, Chuck first served as a student pastor outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon moving to Houston, he and Ashley faithfully served as executive staff pastors of Grace Church for nearly 11 years, under the leadership of Pastor Brett Jones and Pastor Scott Jones. Now the time has come and God is calling this couple to step out in faithful obedience to birth Glory Bell Church in Waco, TX.
Ashley’s natural gifts are without number, but none greater than her ability to visualize something beautiful in its undeveloped stage. She is an artist, designer, decorator counselor, visionary, creative, and ridiculously strong mother who has never found shiplap she didn’t like.
Chuck’s greatest joy is to introduce people to Jesus and help others win. His faith is big, and his heart follows suit. Chuck lives authentically, cares deeply and pushes himself and others for greater things. He is an avid sports fan, moderately athletic, a wannabe musician and once tried to buy the “BOHEMIAN RAP CD.”
Splendor, magnificence, great beauty; the majesty of God; worshipful praise, honor, and thanksgiving; giving glory to God. God's glory is something that appears (Exod 16:10), is revealed (Isa 40:5), or can be seen (Num 14:22).
Bells are intended to be heard over a wide area. Historically, bells have been associated with religious gatherings and are still used to call communities together for religious services. As heralds of both good and bad news, bells have an important place in history.
In Western culture, the dinner bell was used on the homestead to call the family in from the fields to gather for dinner together.
We believe Glory Bell Church has a sound going out into the communities of Waco to say two things:
It’s time to come and worship Jesus.
Come and join in community as part of our family.
